District of Columbia Driving Permits
Getting a Driving Permit in DC is awfully easy if you have all the requirements.
Requirements for a Learners Permits are:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Valid Birth Certificate
- Valid Social Security card or proof of social security
- Proof of DC residency
- Signed Parental Consent Form
- Must Pass a Knowledge and Vision Test
Restrictions:
- Must have parent or adult 21 years or older with a valid license with you.
- Cannot operate an Electronic Device while driving.
- Cannot be payed for driving
- Cannot drive later than 9 PM
Requirements for a Provisional License:
- Must have held permit for at least 6 months
- Must have completed 40 hours of driving
- Must have Certification for Eligibility Signed
- Must Take and Pass Road Skills Test
Restrictions:
- Cannot Drive later than 10 or 11 PM depending on whether it is a weekday or weekend.
