Nebraska Driving Permits
Currently, Nebraska implements the Graduated Licensing Program requiring all drivers to get a permit if under the age of 18. Nevertheless, obtaining a learner's license is an easy task.
Requirements for a Learner's Permit
- Must be 15 years of age
- Valid proof of identifcation
- Pass Vision Test
- Pass Written Test
- Pay required fees
- Have parental or adult consent
Restrictions
Must drive with adult 21 years or older
Requirements for Provisional Operator's License:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must have had permit for at least 6 months
- Valid proof of identification and residency
- Drivers Ed
- 50 hrs of supervised driving
- No accidents or alcohol related offenses
- Pass Driving Skills test
- Pay related fees
- Parental or guardian consent
Restrictions:
Cannot drive between 12 PM or 6AM unless for emergency, work, or school
