Ohio Driving Permits

Getting a Driving Permit in Ohio is relatively easy if you have all the requirements.

Requirements for Temporary Permit:

  • Must Be 15 and a half
  • Must bring Birth Certificate
  • Must bring Valid Social Security Card
  • Must bring Valid Photo ID
  • Must have parent cosign the required forms if under the age of 18
  • Must take and Pass the required Vision and Knowledge Tests

Restrictions

  • Can only drive with a licensed adult 21 years or older

 

Requirements for a Provisional License:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must have had permit for at least 6 months
  • Must have completed 24 hours of classroom education
  • Must have completed 8 hours of Certified Driving Instruction
  • Must have completed 50 hours of General Driving
  • Must Take and Pass a Behind the Wheel Test

 

Restrictions:

  • Cannot drive later than 1 AM
