Ohio Driving Permits
Getting a Driving Permit in Ohio is relatively easy if you have all the requirements.
Requirements for Temporary Permit:
- Must Be 15 and a half
- Must bring Birth Certificate
- Must bring Valid Social Security Card
- Must bring Valid Photo ID
- Must have parent cosign the required forms if under the age of 18
- Must take and Pass the required Vision and Knowledge Tests
Restrictions
- Can only drive with a licensed adult 21 years or older
Requirements for a Provisional License:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must have had permit for at least 6 months
- Must have completed 24 hours of classroom education
- Must have completed 8 hours of Certified Driving Instruction
- Must have completed 50 hours of General Driving
- Must Take and Pass a Behind the Wheel Test
Restrictions:
- Cannot drive later than 1 AM
